There's this book called The Diet Detective's Count Down by C.S. Platkin. Anyway, there are apparently 7,5k food/exercise equivalents in it and the April 2007 edition of Runner's World covers about 12 food items. Although the calculations below is for a person who weighs 155lbs and runs a 12-minute/mile pace, I thought it'd be fun to see how many minutes of running one had to do to burn off some of that food they ate!
One large banana = 13 minutes
12-oz beer = 16 minutes
Snickers bar = 30 minutes
Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino (Grande/16oz) = 31 minutes
Two slices of Pizza Hut cheese pan pizza = 58 minutes
Cheeseburger with large fries = 117 minutes!
It somewhat puts things into perspective, huh? About eating… a lot? Hehehe… /me puts down her 4th chocolate-covered almond…
