Went for lap swimming today (about 30 minutes) and well, so much for fitness. LOL. I warmed up with 100 metres of breast-stroke followed by 50 metres of flutter kicks using the kickboard and by the time I was finally ready to swim the freestyle, I got tired 25 metres into it! Hahahaha. Still, I kept going and my breathers were mostly taken during the kickboard sessions; talk about a lower-ab and thigh workout!
I was going to spend an hour doing laps but ended up with a mere 30 minutes because it took me that long to prepare my gear! Ah… Tomorrow, I hope to go for at least 1 hour.
Oh, there was this “Athena division” woman who was a workhorse doing her laps! I wish I were as strong as her — she just kept going… She was there before I arrived, and for the entire 30 minutes whilst I was swimming I didn’t see her stop at all. Oof!
