Remember a few weeks back when we had those earthquakes over a magnitude of 3.5? Well, I noticed that they sort of coincided with the appearance of the United States Geological Survey team down on 190th street, close to Hawthorne Boulevard.
Anyway, I just noticed last Tuesday that the trucks were gone. Of course, they could’ve just been planting some sensors in the parking lot but it was kinda odd — weeks after they seemed to set up shop on the carpark, we’re striken with two quakes somewhere in the area. It’s like, they knew summat like that would happen…
Or it could just be me being fatigued and running yet again on about 4 hours’ sleep whilst typing nonsense here. -_+ rofl.
In other (non-paranoia-induced) news, I’m going to participate in my very first Duathlon this weekend: the 2009 Trek Women’s Triathlon series – Inaugural Disneyland Resort Duathlon. Yep, we’re running around the happiest place on Earth (1.5 miles), a 10-mile bike ride around the park on the streets of Anaheim and then ending it with a 2-mile run around the California Adventure park. I’m not really racing it for time, more like, enjoying the experience with my sis! Yeah, my crazy marathon-running sis Minel is actually going to run with me, provided I wait for her/ride alongside the bike portion of the race. Hehehehe. We’re going to try and take loadsa photos. ^_^
Finally, don’t forget to grab yer Facebook username! They were released today (well, a few hours ago) so go get on it. www.facebook.com/username
