Too much too soon?

Last night, after a delicious supper comprised of leftovers, whilst watching (for the first time) Indiana Jones  and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on DVD, and savouring a glass of ’06 Pinor Noir (can’t afford my fav Chianti Classico Riserva ’04 vintage, anymore :(), my knees began to hurt. More accurately, my left knee. I’m not sure if it’s soreness or whatnot but that thing was hurting when I would walk and put weight on it. I remembered to R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate) it and ended up R.I.E.’ing it as I was too lazy to find some athletic wrap and apply compression to it.

This morning it felt fine but I was still scared that I might have overdone my training (again). Months ago it was my calf, and this time around, my knee. I’m going to take some precautions this week and not do any of my training runs or get on the elliptical — I’m going to go lap swimming instead and do some upper body/abdomen workouts. Getting back into long runs “cold turkey” was a bad idea. LMFAO. Silly me.
