…dress shoes, that is!
I’ll be attending two weddings this year (AFAIK!) 🙂 One is this Saturday and the other in October for Sheryl & Peter‘s big day! But back to the shoes… I looked at my shoe closet and I have NOTHING to wear for this Sunday! I have like, 4 types of minimalist running shoes, 2 pairs of my old running shoes, even the shoes I used for basketball! Alongside numerous flip-flops, flats, gladiator sandals(!), and my treasured pairs of Sanuk… BUT NO dressy pumps. WTH.
So I went “shoe” shopping and realised a couple of things:
- I have trouble justifying buying a pair of shoes that are $90+ and I’d prolly end up only wearing them once or twice a year. O_o OK, so my running shoes were around $80 to $100, but they’re for health! 😉
- I have wide feet. Not like, size EEEEEEEEEE but wide enough that dressy pumps are a bit uncomfy to wear. +_+ BTW, I really think those shoes were designed for women with only 3 toes or at least have super narrow feet!
- On top of having wide feet, I also have SMALL feet! I normally wear a 6.5 for athletic shoes but a tiny 5.5 for dress shoes. FIVE Â and a HALF. Do you know how difficult it was to find shoes that small?! IN THE WESTERN WORLD! Hahahaha…
Anyway, long story short… (too late), I went to Marshall’s and nearly got these “old lady” style pumps this afternoon. Luckily, my blood sugar was dropping (i.e., hungry!) so I left the store without buying them. This evening, at Choir Practice, my friend Stephanie and I were kinda chatting about my shoe dilemma so I decided to go shopping again with Steph’s tips… and then I found these:
It was the last pair in my size, and the exact shade I was searching for! The price tag? $40! SCORE. ^_^ The fit was good but let’s how my feet will feel on Sunday morning, though.
…now I gotta find a purse (or clutch) to match +_+
