![Weightlifting for a Cause? Yes! I normally don’t share my charitable contributions but this was amazing— the funds raised directly helped feed families in-need in the Philippines AND I was grateful to “join” Filipino Weightlifter & Olympic Medalist @hidilyndiaz and her Strength & Conditioning coach @imjulius (former-Guamanian Weightlifter) in a 3hr Zoom session that covered two Oly lifting movements: Snatch and Clean & Jerk.We learned the basics, some nuances of the techniques, feedback from videos of lifts we submitted, and a surprise visit from Coach Gao.Hidilyn is currently training for the now-postponed Summer Olympics where she’ll once again compete in Weightlifting.
