Well, that bout with migraine (or tension headache?) on Wednesday really threw me off, but in a way, it’s great that I had some much needed rest (which was probably what my body was screaming for!)
Monday (August 23rd)
Did a good 3mi run. It ended up as something in-between a tempo and recovery run! I was supposed to take this day off (Mondays are rest days!) but for some reason, I decided to go faster, but then mid-run, thought about taking it easy! LOL I call it, the schizo run.
Tuesday (August 24th)
Spinning, 35 mins. Again, this was to be a recovery “spin cycle” (lmfao, I’m making up these terms as I type and I just crack myself up). Anyway, back to my spinning. This was to be an easy one but decided to go hard and work on my quads.
Wednesday (August 25th)
OK, in hindsight, I probably should have taken Monday off and had an easy workout on Tuesday. Those two days, coupled with the new diet (or rather, limiting my food intake to 300 less calories), the heatwave the area was going through, oh, and the lack of sleep (thanks to two all-nighters within days of each other) equals super-bad-headache that might’ve been a migraine. >_<
Thursday (August 26th)
Body was still reeling from previous day. Although the piercing pain was gone, some of the headache lingered. Took this day off.
Friday (August 27th)
Spinning, 30 mins. I might’ve needed a third day off but I felt fine and didn’t want to suffer during my weekend run so I decided to do some very (very) light spinning. I still broke somewhat of a sweat, though. My average heart rate was 113 (max as 128). Easy-peasy.
