In case you were wondering… I didn't twist my ankle this time around nor did I take anyone out with my surfboard; I am officially a SURF DIVA! w00t.
I had SOOOO much fun out in the ocean and am happy to report that can get up on my board now! In fact, on day one of our clinic, within the first 10 minutes of being out in the ocean, I was able to get up and ride it all the way. No bad wipeouts for me this time around. ^_^
Day two is an entirely different story; at the end of our lesson, the wonderful Surf Divas told us that day one had intermediate waves; day two had advanced waves! OMG. I wish I could've taken a video of the waves pounding us out there… We went one inch forward (into the ocean) and it would bring us 5 feet back! LOL. I probably had one or two great runs the second day because of that but it was still awesome. I need to save up again to go on the "Level 2" class this summer. Maybe after graduating from that class, I'll be a Super Surf Diva? Hehehe.
Oh, I would highly recommend taking a course at Surf Diva in La Jolla, CA. Private lesson, group clinic, whatever; they have wonderful Divas at the helm. Did I mention that the owner is very laid back, down to earth and really fun? If you're a guy, you can also take a surf class but you won't be a Diva… OK, maybe a Divo 😉
